Biography

EDUCATION AND TRAINING 2023 PhD. Molecular Mechanism of Disease, Novo Nordisk foundation Center for Protein Research, Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, KU Study emphases: I have specialized in implementing multidimensional proteomics approaches, including techniques such as pulse-SILAC, TPP, ITSA, deep proteome profiling, and PTM enrichment using DDA and DIA acquisition strategies, along with data integration through bioinformatics. Additionally, I have explored different analytical dimensions of the Orbitrap mass analyzer and evaluated next generation mass spectrometry technologies. External stay: I completed an external stay at the Inmunotechnology department at Lund University, Sweden under the supervision of Dr. Magnus Jakobsson from 01-02-2022 to 24-04-2022 (hybrid). Additionally, I spent time at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Bremen, Germany, working in the Research and Development department under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Alexander Makarov and the supervision of Dr. Konstatin Aizikov from 21-08-21 to 21-08-2022 (hybrid). PhD thesis: “Exploring the function of the Nt-Acetylation by mass spectrometry-based proteomics”-Advisor(s): Prof. Dr Jesper V. Olsen, Prof. Dr. Lars Juhl Jensen, Prof. Dr. Michael Nielsen and Dr. Magnus Jakobsson. 2017 MSc. Biochemistry, National Autonomous University of Mexico, UNAM Study emphases: I have focused on the isolation, structural analysis, and functional characterization of proteins from natural sources, with a particular emphasis on extracting proteins from Cnidarian and snake venoms. External stay: I spend a semester abroad at the Institute of Biomedicine in Valencia, Spain at the Structural and Functional Venomics Unit, where I focused on peptidomics under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Juan J. Calvete Master’s thesis: “Extraction, purification and characterization of bioactive peptides from the jellyfish Carybdea marsupialis (Lineé, 1758)”-Advisor: Prof. Dr. Roberto Arreguín Final Grade: 9.55/10.0 2015 B.S. Biological and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, National Autonomous University of Mexico, UNAM (Honorific mention) Study emphases: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Semester abroad at Valencia University, Burjassot-Paterna Campus, Spain Final Grade: 9.59/10.0 PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE [extract]: Nov 2022-Present Postdoctoral researcher. Novo Nordisk Center for Protein Research, University of Copenhagen (NNF-CPR) in Denmark, working in the Mass Spectrometry for Quantitative Proteomics group led by Prof. Dr. Jesper Olsen. My main task involves assessing and implementing novel mass spectrometry-based proteomics technologies and investigating their potential uses through a strong partnership with the R&D team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. This also involves conducting on-site experiments and visit for further insights, collaboration and tech transfer. Aug 2018-Aug 2019 Research assistant. Novo Nordisk Center for Protein Research, University of Copenhagen (NNF-CPR), Denmark. Proteomics department. Established and optimized mass spectrometry-based proteomics methods for the determination of protein turnover. Developed and implemented required bioinformatics tools for the analysis of acquired data using R programming. Expertise in data analysis, visualization, and statistical testing. Sept 2017-Aug 2019 Lecturer. Institute of Chemistry (IQ), National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), Mexico. Methods of Identification, Purification, and Characterization of Marine Toxins. Conducted postgraduate-level lectures focusing on the latest advancements in mass spectrometry-based proteomics and its practical application to venomics. Sept 2017-Aug 2018 Lecturer. Professional Institute in Therapies and Humanities (IPETH), Mexico. Physiology applied to physiotherapy. Delivered undergraduate-level lectures and facilitated discussions on the integration of physiology and biochemistry principles into physiotherapy practice
