Lecture description

Startup Pitch: carbonauten GmbH

Biocarbons from biomass residues permanently store up to 3.3 tons of CO2 per ton. They replace petroleum-based building materials and improve many functions. In addition, they usually become cheaper. Outdoors, they insulate and cool buildings and cities. Decentralized production also generates surplus base-load renewable energy (heat, electricity, hydrogen) and environmentally friendly platform biochemicals, which are also relevant for the construction industry.

At dozens of decentralized production sites worldwide, regional biomass residues (including construction wood with impurities) become CO2 sinks for the construction industry.
