How to solve the complexity of autonomy

Anybody who works on autonomous machines recognizes easily, that it is not only autonomous driving, which is needed to be solved on the technical side. An autonomous machine also needs solutions for highly automated work processes. It starts with the responsibilities of the machines like “What can be decided on the machine and which decisions are allowed” followed by the interaction with the environment. These considerations directly lead to safety related issues, architecture questions, data processing aspects, software development challenges and many more additional dimensions to be answered. This presentation therefore offers some ideas and solutions on how to cope with these dimensions.
