EKU Power Drives provides solutions for an emissions-free construction site. We hybridize and electrify powertrains with smart solutions. The path to an emission-free construction site takes place in 3 steps:
1.) Idle Management: Intelligent start-stop systems that shut down motors during idle time can eliminate idle time to zero while saving large amounts of fuel. The system enables an immediate restart and keeps auxiliary consumers running via an integrated energy storage system. e.g. air conditioning.
2.) PowerBank: An energy storage system charged with photovoltaics and fuel cells can cushion peak loads without weak electrical connections.
3.) Smart Microgrid: Regeneration from processes from construction sites enables a self-sufficient and CO2-neutral energy supply.
In the lecture, we will discuss the 3-step process and show how implementation will significantly reduce a company's carbon footprint.
