Lecture description
The world is currently pursuing all possible means to reduce planet-warming emissions from fossil fuels to reach the 2050 targets for climate neutrality. Hydrogen plays a critical role in creating alternative energy systems that provide the carbon-free energy required for a sustainable future.
In the heavy-duty transportation segment, Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Powertrains offer what could be an ideal solution. However, they pose several challenges, not least the proton exchange membrane’s high sensitivity to contaminants, which can greatly shorten the system’s life span.
